About Us

Baking Machinery Design Company, Inc., now known as KB Systems, Inc., was founded by Karl Brunner in 1969. His vision for the baking industry included cost-effective solutions while maintaining ease of operation and convenience. With his background in the engineering and technical service area of the baking industry, Karl viewed mechanical concepts in a broader sense.

Today, KB Systems, Inc. has a much expanded product line, which provides personal service and custom designed systems for specialty and ethnic bakers. KB Systems specializes in ingredient handling equipment with a unique indoor storage system as their claim to fame. Hundreds of systems are operating throughout North America. KB Systems supplies both indoor and outdoor flour and sugar systems to bakeries of all sizes. Modern technology, low maintenance, trouble free discharge, and cost effectiveness are all reasons why small baking operations as well as large corporations are choosing KB Systems.

In 2008, KB Systems was acquired by Gemini Bakery Equipment Company in Philadelphia, PA. KB Systems has become the largest manufacturer and supplier of variety roll lines in North America. Their systems have been delivered to produce variety moulded rolls, round rolls, Kaiser rolls as well as pizza.

Due to the ever changing needs of the baking industry, KB Systems continues to invest in new products to provide the most rugged, versatile, user-friendly equipment for food/dough processing, yet they maintain the ability for gentle dough handling. From its industrial facility in rural Northeast Pennsylvania, KB Systems supports its customers from coast to coast.
